Hosted by the Department of International Cooperation of MOST and organized by Shandong Agricultural Machinery Research Institute, the International Workshop on Comprehensive and Practical Technology of Agricultural Machinery was opened in Jinan on October 22nd 2013. Twenty trainees from Tajikistan, Philippines, India, Nigeria, Thailand, Garner, Bangladesh, Egypt and other countries took part in the twenty-day training. Representatives from the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province and Shandong Machinery Industry Association attended the opening ceremony and delivered their speeches.

During the Workshop, the organizer arranged relevant theoretical courses and training on practical operation technology of agricultural machinery, organized trainees to visit protected agriculture, universities, research institutes, enterprises and Qingdao International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition, and held academic exchanges and business talks.

This workshop helped deepen the friendship between China and other developing countries and promoted agricultural mechanization cooperation and exchanges.
