Objectives:
The aim is to let the health system officials, doctors and laboratory technicians in developing countries, especially in tropical and subtropical regions of Southeast Asia and other countries to master the China’s present existing mature technology for prevention and treatment of tropical diseases, especially thalassemia; to establish a good platform for technical exchanges and cooperation; to strengthen China’s national friendship with neighboring countries and medical technology cooperation and exchange.
Programs:
1. The treatment status of tropical diseases, especially thalassemia;
2. Genetic diagnosis of tropical diseases;
3. Prenatal diagnosis of tropical diseases;
4. Pre-implantation diagnosis and stem cell therapy technologies about the tropical diseases, especially Mediterranean anemia.
