Objectives:

  1. Disseminate the technology of hybrid foxtail millet, and promote   cooperation with countries which has cooperation intention. 

  2. Promote China "Go global" strategy through the transfering of   hybrid foxtail millet technology

Programs:

  The programs include the function of hybrid millet in dry farming and food safety, seed production technology of hybrid millet, cultivation technology of hybrid millet, application of agricultural machinery to millet cultivation, nutritive value of millet and technology training of production processing. Meanwhile, the participants will investigate seed production technology and processing base of hybrid millet. It will refer to the following topics, i.e. Chinese national condition, introduction to millet cultivation and breeding in China, traditional and hybrid foxtail millet   cultivation technology, seed production technology of hybrid foxtail millet, nutritive value of millet, plant diseases and insect pests of millet and   their prevention, function of hybrid foxtail millet in food safety of the world, nutritive value of millet food and its health benefit and processing   of millet food.
