Objectives:

  This workshop is aimed at training professional and technical personnel on vegetables industry in developing countries, to help developing countries raising the level of new technology industrialization, and increasing farmer's agricultural income. Especially we hope to improve the trainees'capacity of seed production, quality control and cultivation skills.  

Programs:

  1) Development of the international Vegetable seed industry
  2) Vegetable industry in China
  3) Elementary knowledge of vegetable breeding
  4) Seed production technology
  5) Seed quality control technology
  6) The application of electrophoretic techniques in seed purity testing
  7) High yield cultivation technology
  8) Grafting technology
  9) Laboratory and fieldwork
  It consists of three parts: Lecture, Technology Training and Fieldwork, which are given by experts and professors from Anhui Agricultural University, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, Huazhong Agriculture University, Anhui Jianghuai Horticulture Seed Co., Ltd and other research institutions.
