Objectives:

  1.To introduce current methods and experiences, seed potatoes production and cultivation techniques in Sri Lanka.
  2.To enhance the application of new techniques in developing countries to help the attendees to attain understanding of the principle of potato production, such as big ridge cultivation technology, diseases and pests integrative control.
  3.To promote joint research and utilization of the potato cultivation techniques and diseases detection in Sri Lanka.
  4.To improve potato trade with Sri Lanka.

  1) Introduction:Brief introduction to China, Chinese science,technology and innovation (STI)system and policy.
  2) Potato high-yield and efficient mini-tuber production techniques based on the medium,
  3) Mini-tuber production techniques based onhydroponic and aeroponics methods.
  4) Integrated potato management of seed potato.
  5) Potato late blight forecasting techniques and practical operation.
  6) potato virus RT-PCR detection technology.
  7) potato bacterial disease PCR detection technology
  8) Field day:high-yield and efficiency seed potato production techniques demonstration.
