| Description?o The National Engineering Research Center for Metallurgical Industry Automation was formally approved to start its preparational work in 1991 by the government. The Center is affiliated to the Automation Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of China. There are four main departments in the center: Comprehensive Office, Department of Technology Development, Department of Technology Application, Department of Market. Up to now, the center has 215 people, including 203 engineers and technicians (55 senior engineers and 148 engineers), 12 management personnel.
Main Engineering R & D Areas
- Engineering environment technology for industry automation system:
- Specificaton of automation system engineering and software development platform for basic automation, process automation, enterprise information management, engineering application for artificial intelligent system.
- Re?aused application software and comprehensive technology for automation systems in the fields such as crude material, sintering, coking, blast furnace, converter, electric furnace, refinning, continuous casting, rolling, etc.
- Enterprise management information system and CIMS (computer integrated manufacture system) for mixed?a type industrical enterprise.
- Artificial intelligence (fussy control, neuron network and expert system) and system technology for industry process and enterprise management.
- Equipment technology for distributed EIC open system based on low cost.
- Contract automation system engineering for industry enterprises.
