| Description?o National Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of Industrial Building Engineering Research Center,ratified by State Scientific and Technological Ministry(former State Scientific and Technological commission)in 1993 and passed state acceptance in 1996,is the only national engineering research center in the technical field of diagnosis and treatment for civil construction

Supported by Central Research Institute of Building and Construction of Ministry of Metallurgical Industry,and Engineering Structure Institute under the central institute is taken as its major technical body,the CENTER has a lot of medium and high technical personnel of high puerility and rich experience,as well as a series of advanced facilities.

The CENTER consists of Structure Diagnosis and Treatment Department,Department of High-Performance Fiber and New Materials Application,Prostrating Engineering Department,Engineering Structural Laboratory,Mechanical and Physical laboratory,Engineering Information Center,and factories and organs stationed in other cities,and etc,The CENTER takes the lead in the following technical fields in China;puerility examination of construction,reliability appraisal and evaluation of civil structures,reinforcement and repair of structure,high-efficiency prestressing engineering,evaluation and test for reactor containment structure of nuclear power stations,dynamic and static test for large scaled structure,special construction control,rebar mechanical connection,automation testing reform of test machine,protective material and special repair material for concrete structures etc.

By accumulating the experiences in the scientific developments and engineering services for more than 40 years after the founding of the institute,the CENTER has completed several hundred scientific researchprojects,of which several dozens items were awarded at national and provincial(ministerial)level's prizes;many state patents were also awarded.The CENTER has also undertaken many key projects on reliability tests and evaluations,and accident treatment,as well as design,consultation and construction of prestressing engineering on structures.
